Who's Who At The Dillsboro River Company, NC

Dillsboro River Company- Shane WilliamsShane - Owner and Operator
A veteran of wilderness-based trips and graduate of Western Carolina University, Shane has led a variety of water-based programs throughout the southeast and Central America. As river guide and instructor for the Nantahala Outdoor Center, he guided on Section 4 of the Chattooga; trained new incoming river staff; and led canoeing, kayaking, and river rescue clinics at all levels. During this time he also led multi-day and multi-adventure boating trips on the Rio Sico of Honduras as well as multi-adventure programs in Panama.

Moving on to greener pastures, Shane has spent the last several years as the Outdoor Programs Coordinator of Western Carolina University Student Affairs Division and now has moved on to create the Dillsboro River Company. DRC is the lifelong dream of Shane and his family to own and operate a family rafting company.

Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician -B; SOLO Instructor; American Safety Health Institute Instructor; American Canoe Association Swiftwater Rescue Instructor Trainer, American Canoe Association Kayak Instructor Trainer and Canoe Instructor.

Finished up her second year at DRC and was awarded a prized internship at Flat Rock Theater, south of Asheville.  An aspiring actress and spokesperson, Tabitha keeps the guys in line with her wit and charm.

Taylor brings a great amount of diversity to DRC with expert rock climbing skills to an up and coming advanced kayaker.  Taylor just earned his four year degree in Parks and Recreation Manangement and is crucial to the day to day opertions.

An expert Kayaker, Snowboarder, BMX, and our in house big air specialist is also a graduate of Western Carolina University with an art degree specializing in photography.

The boys can pronounce the Tuckaseegee correctly and do a pretty good job of giving out paddles.  They can also climb a stack of six rafts without any help from Mom.
